We bought this table for the chairs, which we used on another project. The table sat in my shed for almost a year until we moved to Texas and it was decided that we had a need for a "formal" dining space. We have the room, the table is the ideal size and it was a great project to get the creative juices flowing again. It is in the style of Duncan Phyfe and the chairs, who knows. But in the end, it shows you don't have to buy a "set" from a store. We can acquire pieces, at much different times and marry them together. Patience and persistence were the key to this dining set coming to be.
I tried a new paint on the chairs. The Annie Sloan Paris Gray made the trip here from FL, but I had no white for the chairs. I tried Maison Blanche. It is also a chalk paint, and while it applies a little differently, it has a very similar look in the end. I really love how this came together. I look forward to trying the many finishes that Maison Blanche has in their line! I need to get Ladawn to try it too!

Why LeeLee?
We are two military spouses that have become sisters. And while we share a maiden name, we are not related. One would think we have known each other our whole lives, and perhaps in some respect we have. We both grew up in small towns, lived pretty free lives and can't complain about where life has taken us. We get to work out of our homes, raise our kids and do what we love. Welcome to LeeLee Reclaimed!
That Time I Tried to Get Organized!
Welcome! We have expanded our business to include more home decor pieces, not geared towards kids. We come to you with a new name. Though Gourmet Giggles will still exist, it will be a place for us to post children's items. Come along and check out our new site! Items for sale to be posted soon. For now we will share the items we have refinished in an attempt to get our own homes in order.
I bought this magnetic chalk board at our favorite yard sale in Niceville. It had an oak frame and my son picked out the blue, as it used to be in his room. But here, with school and now after school activities, mama needed to get organized! So I mounted it in the laundry room and it is the last thing I see as I leave the house. The blue actually works in our bright yellow (not painted by me) laundry room! What a little paint can do to a cheap yard sale item!
I picked these up on one of my donate trips to our beloved Bargain Box before we moved. I wasn't supposed to be buying, we were moving! But I knew these would come in handy one day, if not for me, for someone. I need a place to put frequently used items in my kitchen (we do not have a junk drawer here - steering clear of the junk drawer). So here will sit scissors, glue, Markers to be kept out of little hands, etc. Things I don't want to dig out every day, but want them to be in an organized place. A little paint, some scrap book paper and tada - boutique organizers!
